Motor Orbital OMR 200 Installation Guide

2025-12-10

The Motor Orbital OMR 200 is widely compatible with large agricultural seeders, small industrial loaders, and similar equipment. Its “low maintenance, long service life” advantages depend on a scientifically standardized installation process. This document provides detailed instructions.

1. Prepare for Installation

Thorough preparation before installation is key to avoiding subsequent failures. First, conduct inspections: 1.  Inspect the Motor Orbital OMR 200 condition. Verify the motor output shaft and mounting flange show no impact damage. Confirm seals are intact and undistorted. Contact after-sales support immediately if transport damage is detected. 2.  Inspect the equipment installation site. Clean oil residue, rust, and debris from the flange mounting surface and shaft connection points. Smooth surfaces with sandpaper to prevent uneven force distribution due to irregular contact points after installation.

Tools and consumables must be prepared in advance: Prepare compatible torque wrenches, hex keys, sealant, clean hydraulic oil, and lint-free cloths. Ensure the installation environment is dry and clean. Especially in outdoor settings like fields or construction sites, erect temporary dust shelters to prevent contaminants from entering the motor interior.

2. Installation Procedure

Step one involves flange positioning and securing. Align the mounting flange of the Motor Orbital OMR 200 with the equipment workstation flange, ensuring the mounting holes are perfectly aligned. Do not force alignment by striking. Hand-tighten 4-6 positioning bolts (use high-strength bolts specified in the equipment manual) first. Then, using a torque wrench, tighten them in three stages following the “diagonal and uniform tightening” principle. Avoid over-tightening, which may cause flange deformation, or under-tightening, which may lead to vibration during operation.

Step 2 involves shaft connection and sealing. For keyed connections: Apply a small amount of grease to the output shaft keyway, smoothly insert the key, then carefully align and insert the equipment drive shaft to ensure no binding occurs. For splined connections: Align the splines and push in at a steady pace; avoid violent impacts. After shaft connection, apply a uniform ring of oil-resistant sealant around the flange mating surface to create a secondary seal and prevent hydraulic oil leakage.

Step three involves hydraulic line connection. First, inspect the motor's inlet and outlet threaded ports for damage. Wipe the ports with a lint-free cloth dipped in clean hydraulic oil. Next, align the lines with the ports and tighten them evenly by hand. Finally, secure them with a wrench. Critical note: The inlet and outlet ports must strictly correspond to the equipment's oil lines. Reversing connections will cause the motor to rotate in the wrong direction and fail.

3. Commissioning and Acceptance

After installation, commissioning must be performed. During no-load commissioning, start the equipment and run the motor at low speed for 5-10 minutes. Observe for abnormal noises or vibrations, touch the housing to check temperature, and inspect flanges and pipe connections for leaks. Once no-load operation is normal, gradually increase the load to 30%, 60%, and 100% of the rated load. running each stage for 15 minutes while monitoring motor speed and torque to ensure compliance with equipment specifications. If sudden speed drops or insufficient torque occur, shut down the unit to inspect pipeline pressure or shaft connection status.
