In the daily operation of construction machinery and agricultural equipment, the installation and system integration of hydraulic motors are often critical factors affecting equipment efficiency. Many users have found that issues such as fluid leakage and abnormal operating noises occur shortly after the motor is put into service. The root cause of these problems lies not in defects within the motor itself, but rather in the piping connections and system configuration. Leveraging its technical expertise in the field of fluid power, HANJIU Technology has launched the Motor Orbital OMS 80, which features targeted optimizations in both product design and system compatibility.
Proper piping connections and system configuration are essential for ensuring the long-term, stable operation of the motor. The Motor Orbital OMS 80 features a universal interface design; its main oil port, drain port, mounting flange, and output shaft specifications are highly compatible with mainstream systems, facilitating direct integration and reducing the need for additional adapters. Before installation, inject a sufficient amount of clean hydraulic oil into the motor housing through both oil ports, and manually rotate the output shaft to ensure smooth operation without binding. This procedure effectively prevents dry friction damage caused by oil starvation during startup. Control of system backpressure directly affects the service life of the motor seals; it is recommended to maintain return line backpressure within a low range. If backpressure is too high, a separate drain line must be connected directly to the reservoir and must not be connected in series with other return lines to prevent cumulative backpressure from degrading motor performance. The external drain line not only maintains housing pressure at a reasonable level but also removes internal wear contaminants while providing auxiliary cooling.
Precision control during installation is equally critical. The motor mounting surface must be kept level, the mounting bracket must be sufficiently rigid, and the perpendicularity between the mounting surface and the motor axis must meet technical specifications. The output shaft and the transmission mechanism must be kept properly aligned to avoid additional radial loads caused by eccentricity. When connecting steel pipes, pipeline stress must be eliminated to ensure that the pipes do not exert force on the motor housing. Fastening bolts must be tightened evenly to the recommended torque to prevent housing deformation or seal failure caused by uneven force distribution.
Regular maintenance and proper operation are key to extending the motor’s service life. The motor should not be operated simultaneously at maximum speed and maximum pressure for extended periods, as reaching both extremes simultaneously will significantly accelerate internal wear. During intermittent operation, the proportion of time spent under heavy load should be controlled. The operating oil temperature must be maintained within the appropriate range. If the oil turns black, it may indicate overheating; emulsification indicates water contamination. The first oil change should be performed after a certain cumulative operating time; subsequent changes should be made according to equipment requirements, including regular replacement of hydraulic oil and cleaning of the filter. Before each startup, check the oil level and manually rotate the shaft. Regularly inspect the condition of the oil seal lips, check the output shaft surface for scratches, verify whether the O-rings at all mating surfaces are aged or damaged, and assess the wear on the distribution plate and rotor tooth surfaces. Promptly identifying and replacing damaged components can effectively prevent increased internal leakage and torque loss.
