Tractor steering pump

2024-02-29

The tractor steering system is composed of a steering wheel, a front axle, a steering gear and a drive, and the general tractor uses manual steering, but the manual steering is inconvenient and the operation is cumbersome. Therefore, many tractors nowadays use a hydraulic steering system, which consists of a hydraulic pump, a steering pump, a steering cylinder, a steering valve, and a fuel tank, among others.

First, the structure of the tractor steering pump.

The tractor steering pump is located above the engine, and the engine is driven by the belt to drive the rotation of the pump, and the impeller on the pump centrifugal drives the oil circulation. The inside of the pump body is composed of an integrated hydraulic gear, in the tiny gap formed between the gears, the negative pressure generated by centrifugal force and hydraulic force drives the liquid to be drawn from the oil tank into the pump body, and the hydraulic oil flows through various flow channels and devices of the pump under centrifugal action to produce inertial mass, which constitutes a rotating hydraulic oil column, and the oil is hydraulically directed to the circuit of the steering column.

Second, the working principle of the tractor steering pump.

The tractor steering pump can generate a certain amount of hydraulic pressure through the pump pressure, which increases the rotation force of the steering wheel. When the driver operates the steering wheel, the steering pump senses the pressure change in the hydraulic oil and transmits its signal to the steering cylinder for directional control of the tractor. The working principle of the tractor steering pump is very simple, when the driver operates the steering wheel, by changing the oil circuit, the high-pressure oil flows to the steering cylinder, pushing one of the pistons of the steering gear. This piston compresses some of the fluid, causing it to flow to the other piston. This piston moves in the opposite direction to the former, capable of generating a certain force and speed to achieve steering control of the tractor.

Third. Maintenance and troubleshooting of tractor steering pump.

The tractor steering pump should be checked regularly to ensure that the hydraulic oil pressure is stable. In the event of a malfunction, it should be repaired or replaced on a case-by-case basis. Common faults include pump body wear, pump blade wear, poor concentricity between pump and engine, etc. If the above problems occur, contact us in time for repair or replacement.
